It’s in our very name!

the Greek word in the New Testament, meaning to evangelize; proclaim the Gospel. It is mission, our common ministry, our baptismal vocation. It is NOT the job solely of a committee! We share the love and grace of Jesus Christ through service, worship, and fellowship. This is our mission. Praying, asking questions of our neighbors, seeking as we listen to their answers, with the idea that we might learn something. We seek to lead others to a relationship with Christ (or a deeper one). Maybe we will even be called by the Spirit to change the climate!

In a practical way, our Evangelism Ministry is intentional about making a good first impression. Hospitality is what we do best! We want our guests and new members to feel welcome, ready to “plug into” the various ministry possibilities we have at Joy.

We extend the Savior’s invitation to all whom we meet. Our Chairperson is Linda Jacobs, who can be contacted at (267) 701-9889 or e-mailed at JacobsDocandRx@aol.com.

All women are invited to come to Faith Circle for Bible study on the second Wednesday of each month at 1:00 P.M. in the Garden room, Sept ----May.

The studies are taken from "Gather" Magazine a WELCA publication.

Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministry is a system through which members of Joy Evangelical Church are trained and organized to help provide Christian care giving to members of our congregation and community.  This will multiply the amount of caring ministry JOY can provide by giving us a whole team of skilled caregivers who are equipped to bring Christ's healing love to people who are grieving, in crisis, or experiencing other stresses in life.
